EVENT REPORT - INNOVATION DAY 2010 AT BANGALORE

The event was a resounding success with over 400 participants representing more than 250 organizations spanning diverse verticals like aerospace, machine tools, product design, automotive, electronics, etc.  The highlight of this years event among others, was keynote addresses from Dr. Gururak Karjagi and Mr. Michael Foley – both of which were highly applauded. Another unique feature of the event this year were the numerous customer success presentations by the customers themselves. The key presenters included Mr. Amol Mane from Sulzer and Dr. Joshi from Crompton Greaves. The most appreciable feature of the event were the participants who took part in the whole day event with tremendous energy and the event was brought to a close with a gala prize distribution. The key sponsors of the event were HP-ATI, Dell-Intel and 3D CAD.

The SolidWorks Design Validation Day, 18th August, 2010

The SolidWorks Design Validation Day was organized by BEACON on 18th August, 2010 at the Le Meriden Hotel for its existing customers and potential customer to share knowledge on Ensuring Rapid growth in terms of productivity and high return on investment with better quality products delivered customers with the optimisation techniques.

The event was attended by more than 60 dignitaries from SME’s to MNC like TCS, Sandvik, Praj to name a few, at the Majestic II, Le Meridien, Pune and were greeted with  a warm welcome speech and Introduction by Mr. Varakumar, Director- BEACON.

An Insightful presentation on SolidWorks Simulation was given by Mr. Mahesh on Linear Static Analysis, Sustainability, Tol Analyst and SolidWorks motion. Followed by Mr. Ameer on Flow Simulation, Optimisation and event Based Motion. The Audience also appreciated the presentation By Mr. Vishal on 3dVIA Composer that simplifies and enhances your organization’s ability to create 2D and 3D images and animation for a full range of product documentation.

The session concluded with the knowledge sharing and Vote of Thanks by Mr. Joseph, CEO – BEACON. The audience appreciated the way Mr. Joseph used humor to deliver a key message of “Return on Investment” and “Excellence” that drives the organizations towards growth and profitability.

This meet helped us to share our knowledge, learn and hone our skills to stay ahead of competition. We received an award from SolidWorks Corp., for the best "System and process” followed for technical support to the customer.

BEACON CONDUCTED SOLIDWORKS TECHNOLOGY DAY AT NAL

Dr. Ramamurthy, Mr. Jayaraman and Mr. Rajeev from Propulsion and NTAF division respectively presented few case studies, done using SolidWorks and Simulation to the gathering. This event was a full day event showcasing SolidWorks, Simulation and 3Dvia.

About NAL: National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Bangalore is a constituent Institution under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research of India. NAL is a high technology oriented institution concentrating on advanced topics in the aerospace and related disciplines.

BEACON PARTICIPATION IN DIEMOULD INDIA 2010, A BIG SUCCESS

Tool and Gauge Manufacturers Association (TAGMA) organized DIEMOULD INDIA 2010, the 7th Biennial Die & Mould International Exhibition from 18th to 21st March 2010 in Mumbai, Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), NSE Complex, Western Express Highway, Goregaon, Mumbai - 400 063.

Leading brands from India and abroad showcased their latest proven technologies, having features to improve productivity, quality and reduce costs, had attracted quality visitors to the exhibition. They expressed satisfaction seeing new innovative products, manufacturing process, covering the entire supply chain to the tooling industry, a wide spectrum to choose from in meeting faster deliveries required by the highly competitive manufacturing sectors.

BEACON was highly successful in attracting many business visitors and generated lot of business enquiries from this event.

Experience SolidWorks 2010 Event Report (Held on 23 Feb 2010)

Experience SolidWorks 2010 event was conducted by BEACON for their Existing Customers to share the knowledge on new Features in SolidWorks 2010 to Design their products faster and easier.

In this Event around 50 Customers participated, from North and Central Bangalore, out of this 35 of them was Hotel Atria. Banglore

This event concentrated more on new features in SolidWorks 2010, given by Mr. Shashank Sr. Application Engineer and new features on Simulation 2010 was given by Mr. Ameer Sr. Simulation Tech Support Engineer. Most of the customers were excited to see the new enhancements made in 2010. To name a few, Rapid Dimensioning, Multibody sheetmetal, Mouse gesture, Dimension Palette, New way of creating Reference planes, mirror components etc. Simulation enhancements like, SolidWorks Sustainability, New Design study, event based motion analysis, etc.

In this event some of the tools which are in SolidWorks Professional flavor and SolidWorks Premium Flavor were briefly explained and demonstrated to the existing customers, who are holding SolidWorks Standard Flavor software. They were happy to see other productivity tools which are inbuilt in SolidWorks Professional and Premium. There were lots of clarifications from the customer in during event, which was answered by the presenter effectively. The event was concluded with vote of thanks followed by lunch.

SolidWorks World 2010 An Event Report

SolidWorks World Conference and Exhibition 2010, the premier global event for 3D design, simulation, and product development it was four day long conference held in first week of February 2010 at Anaheim, California. USA. A team of four from BEACON (Mr. Varakumar, Director, Mr. Anil Kumar Product Manager, Mr. Saravanan, Technical Manager, and Mr. Shashank, Sr. Application Engineer) were present at this event to have the opportunity of discovering new SolidWorks techniques, evaluating complementary technologies, learning about future developments, and networking with SolidWorks users worldwide, which can help our customers boost design productivity and gain a competitive edge.

IMTEX Forming 2010

BEACON participated at the just concluded IMTEX Forming 2010 exhibition, held on 21st to 26th January 2010 at BIEC, Bangalore. The exhibition focused on a comprehensive display of the latest forming technologies for metals, plastics & other engineering materials, forming tools, machine accessories, dies & moulds, and CAD /CAM. IMTEX Forming 2010, attracted around 450+ exhibitors from different countries. BEACON’s participation was a resounding success, with the visit of a large number of business visitors and potential customers to our stall, who showed keen interest in our products and services. 7th DIEMOULD India International Exhibition

BEACON will be participating in the 7th DIEMOULD India International Exhibition, conducted by TAGMA, which is to be held at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai from 18th to 21st March 2010. Launch of SolidWorks 2010 at SolidWorks Innovation Day

BEACON announced the launch of SolidWorks 2010 at the SolidWorks Innovation Day 2009, held recently in Bangalore. SolidWorks 2010 has many new and impressive features such as SolidWorkS SustainabilityXpress, improved mirror Components in assembly, multibody Support for Sheet-metal parts and event-based motion Simulation among other fantastic features.

As a part of the launch event, there were many interesting topics addressed by experts - with a very interesting speech by Mr. Rajeev Gowda, a Professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore on how industries need to 'Design for Sustainability' keeping in mind today's important issues such as climate change and impact of manufacturing on the environment.

Other speakers included Mr. A. Srinivasa Rao of HP, who gave an insight on the range of HP's Workstation technology solutions so essential for today's CAD engineers. Other topics covered in this one-day event was a presentation on SolidCAM: Integrated CAM engine for SolidWorks by C.V.Arun Kumar-Director Sales, SolidCAM. BEACON which represents other SolidWorks gold certified partner products such as 3DQuickPress, Driveworks - were also represented with in depth product demonstrations by the technical experts of BEACON

Launch of the V5 release of 3D Quick Press - August 4, 2009

3DQuickPress V5 Launched  on 4th August 2009 at Hotel Atria.   Key note speakers, Mr. Kiran from Omni Matrix and Mr. Palaniappan - Former General Manager Godrej, addressed the gathering and spoke about the effectiveness and usefulness of  3DQuickPress.

The response from the audience was very encouraging and we are sure that it would further strengthen our business relationship. Following the question and answer session, there was high tea organised, with an opportunity for networking among the attendees.

Design Validation day - 12th May 2009

BEACON in association with SolidWorks conducted a seminar on 'Re-Thinking Product Design' on the 12th May 2009, at Hotel Taj Residency, at Bangalore. The seminar was a big draw, with the hall packed with invitees and last minute guests. The seminar was organised for customers to experience SolidWorks design and validation capabilities. Representatives from both BEACON and SolidWorks had the full attention of the audience with interesting case studies and multimedia technical presentations followed by interactive Q&A sessions. There was an extensive buffet lunch awaiting our esteemed attendees, with an opportunity to interact with the speakers and delegates.
