Release and Service Pack (SP) of your SolidWorks software (select Help, About SolidWorks)

Configuration of your computer including OS, Service Packs and graphics card information

E-mail us a copy ( varakumar@beacon-india.com) of the file[s] in question and if possible in the file mark the part with notes and leaders or colors to show exactly the areas of your question

Make sure you compress your file[s] using WinZIP and attach the file (or files) to your email

If the file[s] are too large for email (10mb or over) then use our FTP site to transfer the file[s]

In the e-mail describe the questions as clearly as you can by making reference to the colors and the note

Be prepared to discuss all of the approaches that you have attempted before contacting us

By Fax, if you have a simple question and you can create a quick hand sketch and fax it over. It will help clearly define the problem and allow for a quick resolution
Answering your questions
Along with our technical support help line, SolidWorks also provide the means to help answer your questions, these are listed below:
- If you have general questions about SolidWorks then you can review the SolidWorks Troubleshooter on the SolidWorks web site regarding hardware or graphics cards
- The SolidWorks help file is very comprehensive and you should carry out a search on that first
- Another means of answering your question is the SolidWorks knowledge base, where you can query the database of common problems and fixes issued by SolidWorks
- If you want to suggest an enhancement to SolidWorks then this can be done through the SolidWorks enhancement request form on the corporate web site
- The quality and performance of SolidWorks graphics depends to some extent on the choice of graphics adapter and driver version. To help you avoid known graphics adapter and driver version specific problems, SolidWorks has tested several commonly used graphics adapters and driver combinations. Go to the video card testing page
