How to Edit the Sketch Pattern

Within SOLIDWORKS, the tools like linear pattern, circular pattern from sketch environment are mostly used. These are useful for creating multiple instances of the same geometry. But it is not that straight to edit this sketch pattern.

Here are two ways to Edit.

1. With reference to above image of linear pattern, when you are in the ‘Edit sketch ‘mode, right click on any entity of the pattern and select ‘Edit Linear Pattern’.

An alternative for this is,

Go to the ‘Edit sketch ‘mode. Then go to, Tools>Sketch Tools>Edit Linear Pattern

Circular Pattern can be edited in the similar way.

2. This is the mostly non familiar way.

Edit the sketch then select any entity from pattern. Now check the property window for that entity. Here ‘Patterened0’ will be visible.

Right click on that and select Edit pattern.
